The International City is a Internet Meeting Center in Berlin
operated by artists. As a serviceprovider, the International
City is trying to put a utopian approach into effect to the
city of the future. The city is a place for a community defined
by the possibilities of telecommunication. In this "city" the
"citizens" are offered different ways for communication. From a
City-Information-Network they can order data on events, medical
support, timetables of trains and buses and more. They have a
variety of possibilities to communicate, to form work-teams, to
jointly develop projects and realise them in real life and in
the World Wide Web. To be a part of this project it is not
necessary to be a citizen of Berlin. The International City is
global.
