ein workshop zur geschichte der kryptographie.

die einfuehrung beginnt bei den begrifflichkeiten ueber text und code, 
schluessel und verschluesselung, sprache als interpretation von zeichen(-ketten) und
geht weiter in die ersten verschluesselungs techniken, bis hin zu einem 
erklaerungsversuch von asymetrischer verschluesselung und quantenmechanischen ansaetzen.

der praktische teil beschaeftigt sich mit einfachen verschluesselungsverfahren 
die man zb zum schreiben und "verschluesseln" von urlaubspostkarten 
einsetzen kann. und soll anschaulich die grundlagen der cryptographie erklaeren. 
dazu werden wir postkarten verschluesseln und mittels kryptoanalyse dechiffrieren.

der zweite teil behandelt theoretisch die gegenwaertigen digitalen verfahren 
zur abhoersicheren kommunikation mittels, ssl und pgp.

sicherheitsueberlegeungen (schluessellaenge,schluesselverteilung), one time pad, ssl,

a workshop on the history of cryptography.

the introduction beginns with the terminology to text and code, key and encryption,
language as interpretation of signs and strings and continuous to the first
cryptographic technics, up to an attempt to explain the asymetric encryption 
and the quatum mechanical approaches.

the practial part consists of hands on exploration into very simple cryptographic
mechanisms, that could be used to "encrypt" postcards. this should explain the very basic
principles of cryptography. therefore we will encrypt a postcard messages and dechipher 
the message with cryptoanalysis.

the second part is about the theorie behind contemporary digital procedures
for secure communication methods via ssl and pgp.
